Check Your Heat
To check the temp of oil for frying, drop a cube of bread in the pan. If it turns brown and bubbles in 30 seconds, your oil is ready to fry.
Crowding your pan with too much food when frying will cause the food to steam and keep it from getting crispy and brown.
When sautéing veggies or meat, put chilled Crisco® Cooking Oil in a hot pan.
