Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsps. salt
  • 1/8 to 1/4 tsps. dried crushed red pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs. fresh green beans
  • 3 tbsps. Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1 small onion
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  • Step 1

    COMBINE water, salt and red pepper in large saucepan. Heat to boiling. Add green beans. Return to boiling. Cover. Reduce heat to medium. Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain.

  • Step 2

    HEAT oil in medium skillet. Add onion. Cook and stir over medium heat until tender. Stir in green beans. Cover. Cook 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through. Season with salt and pepper.
