Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
  • 2 oz. smoked ham
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 (10 oz.) can can tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 4 cups sliced cabbage
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce

Directions

  • Step 1

    HEAT oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add ham, green pepper and onion. Cook and stir until vegetables are crisp-tender.

  • Step 2

    ADD tomatoes and sugar. Simmer 3 minutes.

  • Step 3

    ADD cabbage, black pepper and hot pepper sauce. Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve.
