Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. broccoli florets (bite size pieces)
  • 2 tbsps. Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
  • pinch of red pepper flakes
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  • Step 1

    Wash and trim broccoli. Peel stems. Cut stems into 1 lengths and then into quarters, if large. Break apart tops into florets.

  • Step 2

    Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add stems. Stir-fry 1 to 2 minutes. Add florets. Stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes longer or until crisp-tender. Remove from heat. Toss with red pepper flakes, black pepper and lemon juice. Add cheese. Toss to coat.
