Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps. Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 cup minced green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup minced celery
  • 3/4 cup minced sweet onion
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1 1/4 lbs. lean ground beef
  • 2 tbsps. ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 12 taco shells
  • Shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and salsa for toppings, if desired

Directions

  • Step 1

    HEAT oil in large skillet over medium heat. Saute green peppers, celery, onions and garlic in oil until translucent.

  • Step 2

    BROWN ground meat in skillet stirring and breaking up meat. Add cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper. Stir and cook until meat in no longer pink.

  • Step 3

    SPOON filling into taco shells. Top with cheese, lettuce, onions, tomatoes and salsa, as desired.
