Spring Pea, Basil & Parmesan Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps. Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen peas
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 lb. farfalle or bowtie pasta
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsps. chopped fresh basil

Directions

  • Step 1

    MELT shortening in large skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 2

    ADD peas and garlic. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Stir in pasta, salt and pepper. Cook 2 minutes or until heated through.

  • Step 3

    REMOVE from heat. Top with cheese and basil just before serving.
