Ingredients

  • 6 green onions
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsps. apple cider or red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsps. fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. firmly packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh gingerroot
  • 1 tbsp. chopped habanero, Scotch bonnet or jalapeno pepper
  • 1 tbsp. ground allspice
  • 1 tbsp. fresh thyme leaves or 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 2 large shallots
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

  • Step 1

    COMBINE all marinade ingredients in food processor or blender container. Cover and process until smooth. Store in refrigerator in covered, non-metallic container, for up to 1 week. Use as a marinade for grilled poultry and pork.
