Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 cups corn flakes crumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 cup PET® Evaporated Milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1 1/2 lbs. tilapia, catfish or perch fillets

Directions

  • Step 1

    COMBINE corn flake crumbs, salt and pepper on wax paper. Blend milk and egg in shallow dish or pie plate. Dip fish fillets in egg mixture. Coat with crumbs.

  • Step 2

    HEAT oil to 365ºF in electric skillet. Fry a few pieces of fish at a time about 2 or 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Turn as needed for even browning. Add more oil if needed. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
