Macadamia Crusted Halibut Fillets

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps. Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp. minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp. minced fresh garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4 (6 oz.) Halibut or Chilean sea bass fillets
  • Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 1/2 cup dry fine bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup crushed macadamia nuts
  • 4 tbsps. butter
  • 1 tsp. minced fresh basil
  • 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • Wasabi oil

Directions

  • Step 1

    COMBINE oil, ginger, garlic, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish. Pour oil mixture evenly over top. Let stand 30 to 60 minutes.

  • Step 2

    HEAT oven to 375ºF. Lightly spray baking pan with no-stick spray.

  • Step 3

    COMBINE bread crumbs, nuts, butter, basil and pepper in a shallow dish. Blend well with a fork. Place the fish fillets in prepared pan. Top each fillet with an even layer of bread crumb mixture.

  • Step 4

    BAKE 10 to 15 minutes until done. Serve with wasabi oil, if desired.
