Ingredients

  • 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/4 lbs.)
  • Grated peel from one lemon
  • Juice of two lemons
  • 1/3 cup Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
  • 2 tsps. dried parsley flakes
  • 2 tsps. dried chives
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper

Directions

  • Step 1

    FLATTEN chicken to even thickness.

  • Step 2

    COMBINE grated lemon peel, lemon juice, oil, parsley, chives, thyme, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper in large flat glass dish or large resealable food storage bag. Add chicken. Turn to coat evenly. Cover. Refrigerate 30 minutes to 24 hours, turning occasionally.

  • Step 3

    PREPARE grill or heat broiler. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Grill or broil 5 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
