Ingredients

  • 8 oz. dry spaghetti or linguine pasta
  • 2 tbsps. Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1 1/4 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 cups bite-size fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 fresh tomato
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 to 2 tbsps. minced fresh basil
  • 1 tsp. dried basil leaves

Directions

  • Step 1

    COOK pasta according to package directions; drain.

  • Step 2

    Meanwhile, HEAT oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and garlic. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir-fry 5 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center. Remove from skillet.

  • Step 3

    ADD broccoli, mushrooms and tomato to skillet. Stir-fry 3 to 5 minutes or until broccoli is crisp-tender.

  • Step 4

    COMBINE cooked pasta, cooked chicken and broccoli mixture in large pot.

  • Step 5

    ADD half-and-half, cheese and basil. Toss until blended. Serve immediately.
