Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 1/2 tsps. seasoned salt
  • 1 1/2 tsps. pepper
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsps. cayenne pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 to 1 1/4 lbs. uncooked chicken breast tenders
  • 3/4 cup plain panko bread crumbs
  • Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil

Directions

  • Step 1

    COMBINE flour, seasoned salt, pepper and cayenne pepper in large resealable plastic bag.

  • Step 2

    WHISK eggs in shallow bowl until blended.

  • Step 3

    ADD chicken tenders to flour mixture, 2 to 3 at a time, shaking bag to coat completely. After all chicken is coated, add bread crumbs to remaining flour mixture in bag. Shake bag until blended. Dip chicken pieces in egg, then into bread crumb mixture to coat. Let stand on wire rack 10 minutes to set coating.

  • Step 4

    POUR oil into 12-inch skillet until 1/4-inch deep. Heat to 350°F over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook, uncovered, 2 minutes. Turn chicken and cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until deep golden brown and internal temperature reads 170°F. Drain on paper towels.
