Ingredients

  • 1 Single-Crust
  • 2 tbsps. butter
  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 5 tbsps. sugar, divided
  • 3 unpeeled large pears, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsps. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp. apple pie spice

Directions

  • Step 1

    PREPARE dough for Single-Crust Crisco Classic Pie Crust. Chill at least 30 minutes or up to 2 days.

  • Step 2

    HEAT oven to 375°F.

  • Step 3

    MICROWAVE butter in small microwave-safe bowl on HIGH 20 seconds or until melted. Stir in oats, nuts and 1 tablespoon sugar.

  • Step 4

    COMBINE pears, 1/4 cup sugar, flour and apple pie spice in large bowl. Toss until pears are evenly coated.

  • Step 5

    ROLL dough on well floured surface into a 13-inch circle. Place on large baking sheet.

  • Step 6

    SPOON pear mixture onto center of dough, spreading to cover an 8-inch circular area. Sprinkle oat mixture over top. Lift edges of dough and fold inward to cover edges of filling. Gently press dough to seal pleated edges.

  • Step 7

    BAKE 50 to 60 minutes or until pears are tender and crust is golden brown. Cool on baking sheet on wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature.
