Sheet Pan Apple Pie
Ingredients
- 1 Deep-Dish Double-Crust
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- FILLING
- 8 large baking apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 tbsps. lemon juice
- 2 tbsps. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. apple pie spice
Directions
- Step 1
PREPARE dough for Deep-Dish Double-Crust Crisco Classic Pie Crust. Shape into one disk, about 1-inch thick. Wrap in plastic wrap. Chill at least 30 minutes or up to 2 days.
- Step 2
ROLL dough on well floured surface into a 20 x 15-inch rectangle. Line bottom and sides of a half sheet pan (18 x 13 x 1-inch) with dough. Trim edges or flute as desired. Chill crust until ready to use.
- Step 3
HEAT oven to 375°F.
- Step 4
For Topping, COMBINE flour, oats, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in large bowl. Beat with mixer on medium speed until crumbs form. Chill until ready to use.
- Step 5
For Filling, COMBINE apples, sugar, lemon juice, flour and apple pie spice in extra large bowl. Toss until apples are evenly coated.
- Step 6
ARRANGE filling mixture in crust in an even layer. Crumble topping mixture over apple layer. Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
