Pecan Raisin Sticky Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp. granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup lukewarm water
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsps. salt
- 2 tbsps. Crisco® Butter Flavor All-Vegetable Shortening
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/2 to 1 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
Directions
- Step 1
DISSOLVE yeast and 1/2 teaspoon sugar in lukewarm water in small bowl. Let stand about 5 minutes. Place 2/3 cup flour in a large bowl. Stir in yeast mixture. Let stand 1/2 hour. Beat in egg, salt, 2 tablespoons melted shortening, warm milk, 1/4 cup sugar, and 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour. Cover; let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

HEAT oven to 400ºF. Combine brown sugar, pecans, raisins and cinnamon in medium bowl. Spray a 12-cup muffin pan with no-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle each cup with a small amount of brown sugar mixture then with pecans.
- Step 3
ROLL dough to 1/2-inch thick on lightly floured surface. Spread with 1/4-cup melted shortening. Sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture. Roll up tightly. Cut into 12 slices. Place slices in the muffin pan. Let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
- Step 4
BAKE 15 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pan on a cooling rack until just warm, invert and serve.
