Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray

Directions

  • Step 1

    STIR flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in medium bowl until blended.

  • Step 2

    WHISK eggs in large bowl. Whisk in milk and vanilla until blended. Add flour mixture and oil, whisking just until small lumps remain.

  • Step 3

    COAT waffle maker with no-stick cooking spray. Heat according to manufacturer's directions. Drop batter onto hot waffle iron. Bake 3 to 4 minutes or until the waffle iron stops steaming. Carefully remove waffle. Repeat to bake remaining waffle batter. Serve with butter, syrup and fresh fruit.

    Substitute 1/2 Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening, melted and cooled or 1/2 cup Crisco Refined Coconut Oil, melted and cooled for the Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil.
