Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp. milk
  • 1 (5 oz.) can water chestnuts
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion with tops
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 lb. ground fully cooked ham
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 1/3 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil

Directions

  • Step 1

    COMBINE egg, milk, chopped water chestnuts, onion, and garlic in medium bowl. Add ham and pork; mix thoroughly. Using about 2 teaspoons mixture for each, form into marble-size meatballs.

  • Step 2

    HEAT oil in large skillet. Add meatballs in batches; brown slowly on all sides. Cook until internal temperature reaches 160°F. Keep meatballs hot; serve on wooden picks.
