Ingredients

  • 2 tbsps. Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsps. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tbsps. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Creole seasoning
  • 2 tbsps. water
  • 24 jumbo shrimp
  • 1 lemon

Directions

  • Step 1

    HEAT oil in small saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and salt; saute 3 minutes. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Creole seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Cool completely.

  • Step 2

    PLACE shrimp in medium bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup cooled sauce. Chill at least 1 hour.

  • Step 3

    HEAT grill or broiler on high heat.

  • Step 4

    GRILL or broil shrimp about 3 minutes per side or until opaque in center. Discard shrimp marinade. Place shrimp on serving platter. Heat remaining sauce mixture. Pour over shrimp. Garnish with lemon wedges.
