Ingredients

  • 3 tbsps. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 lbs. fresh whole chicken wings
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tbsps. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsps. Sriracha chili sauce
  • 2 tbsps. Smucker’s® Natural Orange Marmalade Fruit Spread
  • 1 tbsp. finely grated fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • Diagonally sliced green onions for garnish

Directions

  • Step 1

COMBINE flour, salt and pepper in large resealable plastic bag.

  • Step 2

CUT off wing tips and discard. Cut each wing into two parts at the joint. Place in bag containing flour mixture. Seal bag; shake to coat.

  • Step 3

COMBINE brown sugar, water, soy sauce, Sriracha, fruit spread, ginger and garlic in medium bowl. Stir until blended. Set aside.

  • Step 4

HEAT oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken wings. Cook 11 to 12 or until golden brown and crispy on all sides, turning occasionally. Remove wings from skillet. Drain off all but 1 tablespoon oil.

  • Step 5

ADD glaze mixture to skillet. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Return wings to skillet. Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently, or until glaze thickens and internal temperature of chicken reads 180°F. Place on serving platter. Sprinkle with green onions, if desired.
