Sweet Potato Crisps
- 2 large or 3 medium sweet potatoes or yams
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
HEAT oven to 450ºF.
PEEL sweet potatoes. Cut into slices 3/4-inch thick. Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt in small bowl.
POUR oil into a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Heat in oven 3 minutes. Remove from oven. Arrange sweet potato slices in single layer. Return pan to oven.
BAKE 10 minutes. Turn potatoes with slotted spatula. Sprinkle potatoes with sugar mixture.
BAKE 10 to 15 minutes, or until potatoes are browned. Drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
