- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 1/4 cups water, divided
- 1 fully cooked ham or half ham, bone-in or boneless
- Whole cloves
HEAT oven to 350ºF.
COMBINE brown sugar, oil, dry mustard and 1/4 cup water to form paste in a small bowl.
PLACE ham on a rack in roasting pan with fat side up. Add remaining one cup water to pan. Heat, covered with foil, 8 to 10 minutes per pound or until fully heated.
REMOVE ham from oven during the last 30 minutes of heating time. Score ham diagonally (1/8-inch deep) to make a diamond pattern; brush with glaze. Place cloves in the corners of each diamond.
RETURN to oven; heat, uncovered, until a meat thermometer registers 140ºF. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
