Fabulous Cookies My usual peanut butter cookie recipe uses butter, howeverI ran out of butter. I really needed to make cookies, so searched for a recipe that called for shortening. I found this recipe and am so glad I ran out of butter! These cookies are so much better than the other recipe! This is my new recipe from now on. Thank you! March 28, 2013
Tastiest Peanut Butter Cookie EVER I've been making these since Crisco first started putting them on their butter-flavored shortening cans! My children (grown and on their own) grew up with these and now make them with their little girls. :) Quick and easy to put together. A couple of things I've done (I like a little chewier cookie)...I bake on parchment paper (helps avoid the extra browning on the edges) and after the cookie has cooked out of the oven, but still on the sheet for a minute or two, I cool on a brown paper bag (or brown kraft paper). It helps keep a little chewier AND pulls away some of the shortening residue. Yum Yum Yum! March 24, 2013
This is my go to recipe for peanut butter cookies This is the one and only recipe as far as I'm concerned. Easy to mix up, bake and enjoy in short time! March 20, 2013
Awesome Cookies!!! These cookies are great. My twins, 5 year old boys, love to bake with me and this is one of the recipes they love helping me with. Not to mention the cookies were gone in 2 days. We will definitely be making these cookes often. March 8, 2013
My family loved them! This recipe was good and very easy to make. I would make it again. My brother especially enjoyed them! They were nice and soft. February 25, 2013
Love, love, love this recipe Normally I don't like peanut butter cookies. The ones my mom used to make when I was growing up were tough and dry and didn't really taste like peanut butter. My husband has been begging me to make peanut butter cookies (his favorite) so I finally tried this recipe. To my surprise the cookies were slightly crunchy on the edges and soft in the middle and the peanut butter flavor definitely comes through. I roll my cookie dough in vanilla sugar before pressing with the fork for a touch of sparkle and they turn out perfect every time. You will never try another peanut butter cookie recipe again! Love this recipe! This recipe has the best flavor, especially when made with, of course, JIF peanut butter. I like to use a little shorter baking time because I like soft cookies. My son likes a dark brown bottom, so I increase the time. Either way, this recipe always satisfies! January 30, 2013
best peanut butter cookie recipe! As a great collector of recipes over the years, this is by far the best peanut butter cookie recipe I've ever found. I come from many generations of wonderful cooks, and have tried several other recipes, but this tops them all. January 12, 2013
