Rated 1 out of 5 by from A trusted lineage I have never used Crisco to season a modern pan. Following the manufactures instructions, Crisco pure vegetable oil turned to a plastic gum in my pan after a hour at 325 degrees and was almost made the pan unusable. The gummy buildup was like rubber or plastic. I was very consuming to remove from the pan I am very disappointed.
