Cook Time:14 min
Yield:10

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups Pillsbury BEST® Self Rising Flour
  • 1/4 stick Crisco® Baking Sticks All-Vegetable Shortening
  • OR 1/4 cup Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening

just like a biscuit should taste to a country girl this is what a biscuit taste like........ April 7, 2013
Absolutely delicious I left themin the oven a minute or two too long and they came out a little dark but otherwise terrific taste. Nothing better than biscuits with a dinner or biscuits and gravy for breakfast. March 27, 2013
Just like grandma's old recipe! After being health conscious for years and avoiding biscuits at breakfast, I couldn't remember the correct ratio of ingredients from the old family recipe from my in-laws in North Carolina. This is as close as I've found and definitely recommend it. A very easy list of ingredients and simple instructions. Thanks for posting it! December 25, 2012
Just Like Grandma's This is the best basic biscuit recipe. It comes so close to my grandmas. She never measured anything so I didn't have a real recipe and could never get the ratio right. She always used Crisco for her bicsuits. Thanks again Crisco! December 22, 2012
