Maple Glazed Ribs

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices, separated into rings
  • 2 1/2 to 3 pounds country-style pork ribs, trimmed of fat, cut into 3-inch pieces
  • 1/3 cup Hungry Jack® Microwave Ready Regular Syrup
  • 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard or country-style Dijon mustard

PREPARATION DIRECTIONS:

    HEAT oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onions. Cook until golden, about 4 minutes. Add ribs to skillet and brown on all sides, about 8 minutes. Add ribs and onions to slow cooker.

    COMBINE syrup and mustard in small bowl, mix well. Spread evenly onto ribs.

  3. 3.
    COVER. Cook on LOW setting for at least 8 hours. If desired, serve with additional mustard.
