Vanilla Tea Time Cake

INGREDIENTS:
- Crisco® Flour No-Stick Spray
- 1 cup Crisco® Butter Shortening
- OR 1 stick Crisco® Butter Shortening Sticks
- 2 cups sugar
- 6 large eggs
- 1 (12 oz.) package vanilla wafers, ground to a coarse meal
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup sweetened, flaked coconut
- 1 cup ground pecans
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS:
1. HEAT oven to 300ºF. Coat a 12-cup fluted tube pan with flour no-stick cooking spray.
2. COMBINE shortening and sugar in medium bowl; beat with electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
3. ADD vanilla wafers and milk. Mix until blended. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Pour batter into prepared pan.
4. BAKE 90 to 100 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack 10 minutes.
5. RUN a small sharp knife around edge of pan. Invert pan to release cake; cool completely on rack.
