JUST LIKE GRANDMA'S THE TASTE AND TEXTURE BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF TIMES PAST. USE CRISCO STICKS FOR A BUTTER FLAVOR. LET THE KIDS OR GRAND-KIDS HELP AND MAKE SOME FAMILY MEMORIES, IN YEARS TO COME THEY WILL REMEMBER "THE GOOD OLD DAYS". January 31, 2013
A perfect molasses cookie I lost my original recipe for molasses cookies, and found this one. It was pretty much identical to my old one. They are great! If you use butter flavored Crisco, you will get rave reviews on all of your cookies. Honest!! I give out cookies for Christmas, and I have had people ask me for more if there were any left! The only shortening I will use! December 27, 2012
Easy and Delicious! This recipe was so easy and the results looked bakery pefect. I ran a little short on Molasses so I rounded it out with Maple Syrup - oh, it was heavenly. These disappeared so quickly I'll just have to make them again. :-) December 3, 2012
exceellent choice for any occasion I have been making this cookie since 2008 when it showed up in my newspaper in the coupon section. Love it and so does everyone else I make it for, it reminds of the old gingersnap cookie I grew up with. November 19, 2012
looks and tastes like a classic This cookie looks like a store bought cookie, perfect, but tastes homemade, comfort. It is a classic molasses cookie that you probably had as a child. It is both sweet and moist, extremely easy to prepare. November 4, 2012
The recipe took some trial and error I bake cookies for my daughters Kindergarten class every time I volunteer, which turns out to be 2 to 3 times a week-I like to bring different kinds a cookies, so I thought I'd try the Molasses Cookies-1 of the children can't have eggs or nuts-so I always try to make those cookies first-the dough was so dry without the egg that I had to add some water to moisten the mix-then when I did add the egg I still had to add water to moisten the and I didn't chill it-the cookies are rising as expected and they smell great-more to come on this when I get home from giving them to the kids-please send more eggless recipes-school isn't out until May-Thank u L.
