Macadamia Crusted Halibut Fillets
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons Crisco® Pure Canola Oil
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh garlic
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 (6 oz.) Halibut or Chilean sea bass fillets
- Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
- 1/2 cup dry fine bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup crushed macadamia nuts
- 4 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Wasabi oil (optional)
PREPARATION DIRECTIONS:
1. COMBINE oil, ginger, garlic, salt and pepper in a small bowl. Mix well. Place the fish fillets in a shallow dish. Pour oil mixture evenly over top. Let stand 30 to 60 minutes.
2. HEAT oven to 375ºF. Lightly spray baking pan with no-stick spray.
3. COMBINE bread crumbs, nuts, butter, basil and pepper in a shallow dish. Blend well with a fork. Place the fish fillets in prepared pan. Top each fillet with an even layer of bread crumb mixture.
4. BAKE 10 to 15 minutes until done. Serve with wasabi oil, if desired.
