Tips for Peanut Oil Reuse & Disposal
Peanut Oil Reuse
Peanut Oil can generally be reused 3 or 4 times. However, oil that contains spices, seasonings, or food particles (such as batter) should be discarded.
Peanut Oil is too old and cannot be reused if it has a rancid smell, dark color, and/or smokes excessively when heated.
Store used Peanut Oil in a cool, dark place to extend its life.
Peanut Oil Disposal
Small amounts of Peanut Oil can be placed in sealed containers and disposed of with regular garbage.
Larger amounts of Peanut Oil can be recycled. Check with your local recycling facility or ask local restaurants if they have dump station. Sometimes, restaurants receive money for used oils, which are be made into bio-diesel fuel.
